About me

“If everyone looks at their own feed print and makes a small contribution to a healthy, fair world, we will be in a very different place in a few years.”

I am Marsha, mother of daughter Sam (13) and son Abel (9). I look at the world with an open mind, I am open to everything and like to think out of the box. Out of my anger at the unfairness in the world, I felt the need to start an aesthetic, sustainable brand using only fair, sustainable products. That was my dream when I started Play at Sleep.

In 2017 my search for the perfect basis for slow fashion label Play at Slaep started. The journey started in India and continued in Portugal. In the end I found a company with its heart in the right place. Together we produce our special, sustainable items from pure fabrics, without chemical additions, fair-made and GOTS-certified. My wish is to eventually produce completely zero-waste so that we only make what we actually use.

Inspired by Montessori and Waldorf play materials, I would like my products to be used for various purposes. For example, the canvases are wonderful material for building a tent and you can let children's fantasy play run its course with the canopy. This way the open ending play can be stimulated!

I love music, special design and architecture and (of course) I don't eat animals either. Finally, I like to dance! At home, on the street or on the train. To the chagrin of my daughter, who secretly finds it funny too. A tip from me? Always keep playing a little! In any case, that makes me very happy!
